GRAND CANYON-SOUTH RIM AND AROUND

1300AD INDIAN PUEBLOS EN ROUTE TO GRAND CANYON.IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE TO SEE THAT THE ABANDONEMENT OF VILLAGES AND EVEN COMPLEX CITIES ALL OVER SOUTHERN US AND CENTRAL AMERICA OCCURRED AS A RESULT DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY ON CLIMATE CHANGE OVER ABOUT A 100 YEAR PERIOD, SEVERE DROUGHT AND WATER SHORTAGE FORCED MIGRATIONS TO OTHER LOCATIONS.

TRULY ONE OF OUR TRIP HIGHLIGHTS.FIRST GLIMPSE AT DESERT VIEW.

WE SPENT THE DAY HIKING,DRIVING,BUSSING ALONG THE SOUTHERN RIM.(WE WILL VISIT THE NORTHERN RIM IN A FEW WEEKS).

WE HAD PERFECT OVERCAST CONDITIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHING AND WERE TREATED TO THUNDERSTORM SQUALLS THAT WOULD BRING BRIEF SHOWERS.AWESOME!!

LOVELY SPOT IN THE KAIBAB NATIONAL FOREST JUST SOUTH OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE.
